General procurement notice for Acquisition of fertilizer (Urea, SSP, KCl, K2SO4, NPK) for corn, rice, market gardening
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to improving food security and living conditions for the target populations in the Ouémé Valley, through the development of irrigated areas, the construction of access tracks and crossing structures as well as the construction of socio-economic infrastructure.
It specifically aims to i) improve agricultural and fisheries production on a sustainable and resilient basis; ii) open up the project area to facilitate the marketing of products; iii) strengthen the adaptive capacities of populations to climate risks; (iv) diversify and increase income from agricultural and fisheries value chains; (v) contribute to wealth creation; (iv) contribute to job creation and (v) contribute to food and nutritional security.
The project will include the following components:
Component-1 : Hydro-agricultural and fish farming development and development of social engineering;
Component 2 : Construction of infrastructure to open up the area
Component-3 : Development of agricultural value chains;
Component-4 : Support for project coordination and management;
Component-5 : Financial Audit;
Component-6 : Responses to emergencies
Procurement financed by the Bank will be carried out in accordance with the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods, Works and Related Services under Projects Financed by the Islamic Development Bank (February 2023 edition) and are open to all eligible bidders as defined in these Guidelines. Procurement of consulting services will be carried out in accordance with the Guidelines for Procurement of Consulting Services under Projects Financed by the Islamic Development Bank (February 2023 edition) |
