General Procurement Notice For: Promoting Community Led Nature-based Solutions to Climate Change Adaptation in the Usangu Catchment
The Goverment of the United Republic of Tanzania has applied for financing in the amounting equivalent of 2.8 million from the World Bank towards the cost of the Promoting Nature- Based Solution to Climate Change Adaptation in the Usangu Catchment and it intends to apply part of the proceeds for payments of Goods,Works, and Consulting Services to be procured under this project.
The principal objective of the project is to address the priority investment needs selected areas in Usangu catchment and enhance institutional capacity in the sector in Tanzania playing a key role in the socio-economic activities of the areas.
The project will include the following main components:
A.Civil Works
1.Drilling of 9 solar Powered Boreholes for Construction of Cattle troughs,Community water supply, and schools
B.Consultancy Services
1.Hiring of local NGO to provide social services and empowerement to communities in Usanfy catchment,include training of GRCs of GBV, Community alternative livelihood activities and community facilitators (CF).
C. Goods
1.Procurement of 2 Vehicles for PIU
Procurement of Works,Goods, and Consulting Services Contract financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank Procurement for IPP Borrowers Sixth Edition March 2025 (Procurement Regulation) and is open to all the eligible Bidders as defined in the Regulations.After the Project negotiation,the World Bank shall arrange the publication,on its external website.of the agreed initial Procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection.
Some Procurement Notice (SPN) for contracts subject to open National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures and for contracts for Consultancy services will be announced,as they become available in the Tanzania National e-Procurement System (NeST).
