General procurement notice for Construction of buildings
The general objective of the project is to facilitate the movement of people and goods and to support the structural transformation of the Ivorian economy by strengthening the national road network. This project will boost the national economic potential.
Specifically, the project aims to achieve the following objectives:
Strengthen the national road network;
Extend the country%s main highway by 54.5 km;
Sustainable fight against poverty in rural areas
Promote access of rural populations to basic socio-economic infrastructure;
Increase the income of populations by increasing their agricultural production and facilitating the evacuation of products to marketing and/or export centers;
Increase the mobility of goods and people in the project%s areas of influence;
Promote trade with hinterland countries.
4. Project description
The project has the following seven (7) components:
? Component 1 (Civil engineering works) : the development and asphalting of the Bouaké-Darakokaha highway (Lot 1&2 – 54.5 km) following the rules of the art:
Lot 1: Bouaké-Echangeur Katiola (28.5 km)
Lot 2: Katiola Interchange-Darakokaha Interchange (26 km).
? Component 2 (Related activities): the implementation of related activities will have a multiplier effect on the impact of the project. Their identification is based on the one hand on the environmental studies of the project and on the other hand on the grievances and expectations of the populations. These activities concern, among other things:
Related works - Lot 1: Construction of buildings
Classroom ;
Health center ;
Latrines ;
Markets
Related works - Lot 2: Road maintenance
This lot concerns the road maintenance program (PER 2023-2025) in the Gbêkê and Hambol regions. It will be financed entirely by the Ivorian State.
Related works - Lot 3: Drilling
Completion of 20 boreholes in the Gbêkê and Hambol regions.
? Component 3 (Road safety): This component includes:
Raising awareness among users and local residents about road safety;
The supply of two (2) ambulances.
? Component 4 (Compensation for local residents): This compensation concerns people whose property (houses, crops, plots of land, etc.) are impacted by the project. This component is entirely supported by the Ivorian State
? Component 5 (Works control and supervision): works control and supervision services will include:
(i) technical, administrative and financial monitoring of the execution of the works;
(ii) verification of detailed calculation notes and validation of work execution files;
(iii) control of the quality of the work and the quantities implemented;
(iv) control and monitoring of the implementation of the project%s environmental and social measures.
These services will be subdivided into two (2) lots just like the works.
