Tenders are invited for Construction of the Mpakeni Dam and Associated Works Including the Permanent Access Road
1. The Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini has received financing from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the MkhondvoNgwavuma Water Augmentation Project (MNWAP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of the Mpakeni Dam and Associated Works Including the Permanent Access Road. 2. The Eswatini Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise (ESWADE) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Construction of the Mpakeni Dam consisting of a clay core rockfill embankment dam 52m high. The dam will have 1,800,000m3 earth/rock/clay fill and 35m wide rectangular spillway with a plunge pool, intake tower with elevated intakes and a 2 x 2D bottom outlets. It also consists of the construction of the Mpakeni Dam Permanent Access Road consisting of a 15km single carriage double lane bitumen sealed road to the Mpakeni Dam site in the Shiselweni Region in Eswatini, for a construction period of 51 months.The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon
the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a
nonrefundable fee of four thousand five hundred Emalangeni (SZL 4,500). The method of
payment will be a bank electronic transfer (ETF) (Bank Account No.12990577569, Branch
Code: 360 164, Swift Code: NESWSZMX). The document may be collected at ESWADE at the
address below either in person or by the Bidders representative. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of SZL 56,000,000.
