Product Detail : Recruitment Of A Consultant To Adapt The Early Simulation Manual As Part Of The Project Consolidating The Sustainability Of The Merankabandi Social Nets Support Project
Tender Detail : Prequalification are invited for Recruitment of a consultant to adapt the early simulation manual as part of the project consolidating the sustainability of the merankabandi social nets support project During the process of building the brain, neural connections are influenced by genetics and lived experiences: appropriate food and nutrition, protection, stimulation through play and conversation, attention and caregiver interactions. This combination of the innate and the acquired lays the foundations for the future of the child. Yet too many children are still deprived of the essential elements their brains need to grow well: to eat, to play and to be loved . We pay less attention to children%s brains than to their bodies. Several factors combine to explain why some children receive the nutrition, protection and stimulation they need, while others are left behind. Poverty is often one of them. In low- and middle-income countries, 250 million children under the age of 5 (43%) are at risk of not reaching their development potential due to extreme poverty and stunting. The most disadvantaged children are often the least likely to have access to the elements necessary for healthy development. Children under 5 living in conflict-affected areas or fragile states face greater risks to their lives, health and well-being.
